Strong performance and increase in assets under management permit modified fee structure – attractive new offering for institutional investors.
Zurich, December 5, 2017. 3V Asset Management AG (“3VAM”), a Swiss equities specialist that manages the 3V Invest Swiss Small & Mid Cap Fund, today announced an extension to its product offering and changes to its management fee structure.
Two years after taking over, the new portfolio management team comprising CEO Martin Lehmann and experienced fund manager Plinio Zanetti have more than doubled assets under management at the company to CHF 62 million. The fund’s extremely good performance was one of the major drivers for this rapid growth. At 48.3% over the two-year time frame, the fund’s performance outstripped that of its ts benchmark – the SPI Small & Middle Companies Index – by 9.4%. This means that the two portfolio managers ranked among the top fund managers for Swiss small and mid-caps for the second year running.
The above-average growth in performance and assets compared with its peers makes the 3V Invest Swiss Small & Mid Cap Fund an increasingly attractive alternative for larger institutional investors as well. Now 3VAM is offering a new additional institutional tranche, Tranche B (ISIN LU1702504785), in order to better serve the institutional investors segment going forward and further accelerate growth in assets under management. This tranche has a management fee of 1.0% and requires investors to commit a minimum of CHF 5 million.
Existing investors who do not meet this threshold will also benefit from the fund’s positive development going forward: 3VAM has also cut the management fee for its standard tranche by 30 basis points to 1.5% retroactively with effect from December 1, 2017. As in the past, 3VAM does not charge a performance fee for either tranche.
”We are extremely pleased about our fund’s performance in the past two years,” said Martin Lehmann, fund manager and CEO of 3VAM. “Our new, attractive offering for institutional investors will help us extend our footprint in this key segment and further accelerate the encouraging growth in fund assets under management that we have seen to date.”
